Institute for Basic Science The objective of construction project of this Institute was to promote the integrated environment for basic science research and provide a cultural/creative/communicative space. Based on this, we proposed a cluster-type mass to create a research environment allowing secured independence among areas of facilities and inter-communication.

Moreover, we designed a Creative Band (a circulation-type band space where diverse activities communicate one another) as a key concept space, and considered securement of extension site for future expansion apart from the formation of the exterior central Square.
