WOONGJIN R&D Center Woongjin R&D Center pursues an environmentally-friendly research center, in accordance with the ideology of Woongjin Coway, which is to create a healthy living space to promote peoples' well-being in an ecofriendly way.

For this reason, the building is designed in harmony with the forest, resembling nature. Timber, which records time and history, was chosen as the exterior material in order to change and breathe with nature as time and season change. Irregular strips made of timber and glass curtain walls symbolize forests, which act like a natural filter connecting the city to nature. The interior of the building is not closed like other research centers, but rather open towards the central atrium for sharing opinions and developing creative ideas.
