As a new extension of Shinsegae department store has been established, the main store also came to be renovated to cope with new trends. Although its original form as well as exterior materials have been changed as it under went several renovations, this renovation focuses on restoring the main store's original form to maintain its value and historicity as only a few compromising Renaissance-style structures in Korea.
