Haeundae U-dong Business Hotel The Haeundae U-dong Business Hotel represents a significant redevelopment in Busan's historic downtown,
where outdated structures have been replaced with a modern hotel.
This project aims to bolster the hotel's prominence and brand identity by capitalizing on
its strategic location adjacent to the famous Haeundae Beach.
A critical challenge was navigating the intricate excavation and structural demands required to install underground
parking on a narrow, irregularly shaped site, a result of consolidating smaller plots in the coastal area.

To capitalize on the site’s advantageous location overlooking Haeundae Beach, the massing plan was designed to maximize the number of rooms with ocean views.
The design strategically employs angled window openings to direct views toward the ocean, utilizes protruding and segmented masses to enhance visibility from the beach, and incorporates varied finishes and color contrasts.
These design choices are aimed at showcasing the youthful and vibrant image of the Lotte L7 brand. In terms of spatial design, the lobby is situated on the third floor to offer guests an immediate view of Haeundae Beach upon check-in.
Additionally, a rooftop pool is planned for the top floor to provide a continuous visual connection from the sea to the hotel's interior, enriching the overall guest experience.
