Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation Building As part of the infrastructure of the advertisement industry, the functions of the Korea Broadcasting Advertising Corporation Building include the production of advertisements and training the related professionals. In terms of perception of the architecture, two different design strategies are applied to the KBAC Building: openness and accessibility are emphasized for the lower floors, and monumental character for the higher floors.

With an open space and a sunken plaza, the lower floors is an open and public space, placing higher priorities on accessibility and smooth flow of pedestrian traffic. Securing privacy from the surrounding buildings was another important design guideline. As the architectural perception in short distance in the Songpa Main Road is limited, we decided to focus on the long distance perception. Combining an angular mass with a rounded curtain wall, we accommodated the urban context while enhancing the architectural perception of the KBAC Building.
