Completion
This design consists of a concrete structure (exhibition area) and a steel frame structure (storage type exhibition area). The structural beauty of the rotunda was emphasized by minimizing the use of horizontal materials. The size of the materials was diversified to help generate an explicit structural flow. Inside the rotunda, the inflow of ambient light through the skylight maximizes spatial qualities within. The users perceive the spatial change while moving up and down the spiral staircase.
