The gate of such aspirations brings about a new set of rules in Gachon campus as its icon. This stems from the harmonious relation between its existing facilities and the external space. The scattered administrative functions have been integrated and the insufficient facilities for the student welfare have been brought in as a space in line with the Sunken Plaza for bolstered functions for the students. The roadway penetrating the center of the campus has been replaced with the road that circulates the outer ring, and the freed-up inside area has been formed as the ‘Barrier Free Zone’ to create a pedestrian-centered campus. The outside area is built as the square for students and the green space with various themes to provide the pleasant environment.
